I got an e-mail from a friend. It has an attachment (.pps) to see, but I can’t open it. Where do I save it and as what so I can look at it?

I think a .pps extention means it’s a PowerPoint file. If you don’t have Microsoft Office, you can download a free PowerPoint viewer from the Microsoft site: [http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/office/98/updates/powerpoint98\_viewer/default.asp](http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/office/98/updates/powerpoint98_viewer/default.asp)

I hope that’s the right one; there are dissimilar file types out there that share identical extensions.
