I was a _Castle_ fan back in the day, and that’s what my understanding is, as well; they hid it pretty well for years, but by the end of the series, apparently they really did not get along at all. ---

Very much more of a poignant drama than a comedy in that first episode, but well done and on the show rotation now. There are poignant moments and laugh out loud moments. Mrs Maven & I saw Riser perform stand-up in 2019. The details are quite hazy now, but I vaguely recall that he started off slowly, but by the end was killing it.
