Two months ago I found a small lump in my right breast. I brought it up to my doctor like a good girl at my last appointment and she said if it wasn’t gone in a month to schedule an ultrasound. It’s still there, and so tomorrow I’ll be getting an ultrasound just to check it out. Dr. K says it’s probably nothing to worry about, and I think she’s probably right, but it’s still a little scary. Mostly it’s just that I don’t need this stress right now. I have a three month old son, a checking account that’s just shy of empty, and a marriage that’s on the rocks. I do NOT need any kind of health issue at this point in my life. I haven’t even told anyone about this because I don’t want my parents and hubby worrying about it. So, please, if you get the chance, remember me tonight in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks. ---

I had something like this a few months ago. It turned out to be nothing, just some extra-dense tissue. Try to find a place like where I went where they will give you your results immediately; I walked in nervous and walked out feeling far better, with an all-clear. Hang in there! ---

Thanks so much for all the positive thoughts and prayers. After the ultrasound yesterday the tech said she thought it’s probably a clogged milk duct. (I’ve been breastfeeding my baby) I’ll have to wait for an official report from the radiologist, but the techs are usually pretty good at recognizing what they see. I told my husband about the exam after it was over and I could tell him not to worry 😃 Thanks again, y’all. It’s nice to know I have the power of the SDMB collective consciousness on my side! ---
