It’s a Greek dip made from potatoes, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. It’s terrific.
I do have tahini- how else would I make hummus, silly? And I think I might have halva around here some place… _rummages through cupboards_

Sounds good, **samarm**.
You should be ashamed, you know that? Hummus is about as complicated as a peanut butter sandwich. You just put the ingredients in a food processor and turn it on. Shame!
There are lots of good skordalia recipes available online. You basically mash cold potatoes with the abovementioned ingredients. Don’t use a food processor though, it can get gluey.
I have the mystical ability to turn every conversation into a cooking lesson. 😃

To the others who criticized me for not defending my posts in the other forums – I don’t get it. I thought the point of the first post was to fault me for not posting a variety of opinions. Because I had only ten posts at the time, I thought that was silly, so I answered in silly fashion. Isn’t this forum a flaming forum? I don’t know if I’m ever going to learn all the rules.
But **elf6c,** I did learn something on this board. I learned a new word: whoosh.

I’d share my cooking secrets, Malacandra, but I’m a like vague on the recipe for toast.
Wait, the one bread recipe I do know involves how much water to put into the bread machine. Me and my dog recently finished off a whole loaf of freash sourdough bread in one day.
