There was a festering sore in the US body politic that was covered by a band-aid of civility and empathy. He’s ripped that band-aid off. He has a great eye for identifying a need in people and convincingly pandering to it. Stuff that sounds bone stupid to most of us here has gained him a large devoted following of acolytes so I can’t deny he has talent in that regard. ---
