He is amazing at marketing and at being a cult leader. Trump has malignant narcissism and I think to get narcissistic supply he has been learning how to market himself, how to win people over and how to say what people want to hear. He has probably consciously and unconsciously spent his entire life learning how to say what his audience wants to hear so he can get what he wants from them, then toss them aside and move onto the next mark. Hes an evil person. Hes a sociopath, a narcissist, a dementia patient, a sexist, a bigot and a very stupid person all rolled into one. Hes the living embodiment of the 7 deadly sins and despite me being atheist who knows that the christian god was just a [metallurgist deity invented by copper smelters 3500 years ago](https://www.haaretz.com/archaeology/2018-04-11/ty-article-magazine/.premium/jewish-god-yahweh-originated-in-canaanite-vulcan-says-new-theory/0000017f-dc86-d3ff-a7ff-fda6aa390000), its eerily uncanny how well Trump fits the description of the antichrist. Right down to the evil, fake christians who wear his symbol on their foreheads. However he is amazing at marketing. He ran in 3 presidential elections on a major party ticket and won 2 of them. He infiltrated the GOP and took it over as an outsider who was hated by the GOP establishment. He makes Obama look like an amateur. ---

Awhile back I heard about a young gay man challenged by his MAGA grandfather to say something good about Trump. The young man, after awhile, said, “I like how he’s normalizing makeup for men.” _Not_ what grandpa had in mind. ---

This. The OP’s question isn’t even a tiny bit hard to answer. Trump is immensely talented. He has been lucky and inherited wealth but has risen far above where that would take him without his talent. Pretty much nobody - including me - likes to say this out loud because he uses his talent for unadulterated evil. But there’s no denying its existence. ---
