Inspired by [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=169285), and the fact that the Pit has, IMO, been a hothouse of wrath over the last month, I’m wondering if people are capable of finding a redeeming quality in their enemies.
Me, I have nothing to add, only because there aren’t any Dopers I can think of who I don’t like. 😃 Seriously.
C’mon, go for it.

Umm… No offence mate, but I don’t think this thread’s really a good idea. It’s going to lead to upset people. Kinda the thread equivalent of saying who’s on your ignore list. Yes, I know it’s “Saying something nice”, but it’ll lead to ugliness.

I would say something nice, but I don’t necessarily want to list the people I don’t like. It’s a short list, but why hurt someone’s feelings, especially when trying to be nice?

Because a lot of the dislike is already public. I swear I see a new anti- **December** thread every week, and a few months ago, the same applied to **His4Ever**. To say nothing of the repeated and continuous anti-moderator threads. In this board’s quest to “fight ignorance,” there’s been a little too much fighting amongs ourselves, and I’m hoping this thread can be a refreshing breath of civility.

It’s a kindly-meant impulse, **Res** , but I afraid human nature being what it is, folks will focus more on the “I don’t like you” than being gratified over a few redeeming features.
**Narrad** has a good idea; simply say something positive in the other thread.
Nice thought, but bad idea.
