I disagree, Jack Batty. I am of the opinion that it is Homer’s liver that is posting these messages. I think it reached self-awareness at about 10:45 last night, and is exploring his newly developed freedom.

If his liver opened an account of “Homer’s Liver” (also a good band name), would it be considered a sock puppet?
