I used to be in the SCA (Kingdom of the Outlands) but lately my interest has dropped off. I’m sure it’s mostly due to time constraints from going back to school, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever get back into it again. Matter of fact, I just sold a bunch of costumes and armor on ebay. THL Siubhan ---

Kingdom of Ansteorra, though I have next to no involvement anymore after years of it being almost a second job. We do still make Med Fair in Norman every year though ---

Another Meridian chiming in… Bastiano Francisco de Valencia 15th Century Spaniard Shire of Tir Briste Unfortunately, I will not be at Coronation/25th Year…however, to all the other Meridians out there, I invite you to attend Fool’s War at the end of this month, here in Middle Georgia…it’s fun, it’s cheap ($10 for the weekend, $5 for daytrippers), and I’m the co-goobercrat (guys in charge of making the event funny). I will also be getting squired at the event, huzzah! Meeting some Dopers would make it a perfect event! ---

This’ll be my first year in FoF, although I’ve been participating off and on in Faire for nearly 20 years. ---

I’m not in SCA, but I keep saying I’m gonna do it. I make my own armor and have recently moved on to attempting to make some weapons. I just finished (well, it’s almost finished) a really wicked looking large knife. The main problem I have is that the local SCA group meets during the week a lot, and I’m a single dad and my kids would kill me if I drug them to the meetings. Their mom takes them to Ren fairs and they hate it. These kids today!!! ---

Greetings, **Brian d’Baskerville** here, Gwyntarian, Middle Kingdom, late of Caid’s Roman IXth Legion. polearm, sword and shield, cooking, embroidery, singing, woodworker, illuminating, mediocre fighting man but fun in the trenches. Lots of RennFaire experience with Clan MacColin and Glennatiegfh at Southern Renn Faire and such. Miss it terribly. ---

Non-SCAdian here, but I’m quite the rennie. I’ve volunteered (and occasionally actually gotten paid to work/offered jobs) with the Florida Renaissance Festival. Period costuming is one of many obsessions, and I’d probably join the Paladin Society on campus up here if I had the time, the money to invest in all sorts of fun supplies for it, and the ambition to beat people senseless with boffers and play other medieval games.
