I got a call this afternoon from an “unavailable” local number (I answered it because I was half-expecting a call from someone local who might have their number blocked). A male with a heavy (quite possibly Indian) accent asked for me by name, claimed to be from “Medical services” (at least I think that what he said), and asked if I was still having pain and swelling in my legs. Well, I’ve been having varying degrees of knee pain since college, in the 70s, but I’ve been getting similar calls from people supposedly following up on requests I’ve made about back or knee braces (which I never made), so I just hung up.
