The headline on CNN.com’s front page this second says “Deputy: Object seen falling from balloon,” but the article it leads to says nothing of the kind…
“At this point, we are thinking that he did not fall out of the balloon and is somewhere on the ground,” Larimer County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Eloise Campanella said. “The basket itself was not breached. It does not look like he fell out of it, but again, this is all conjecture.”
…but the picture with this article doesn’t look good…

Dang. I’m about 50 miles south of the event and I Cannot cannot cannot believe how quickly this has spread to EVERY corner of the internet.
I predict hoax, like I did an hour and a half ago before I turned off the TV to get away from this “story”.

Local news reported during a live news conference that the investigator got a page. It appears the boy was hiding in a cardboard box in the attic of the garage.
I suspect he accidentally launched dad’s balloon, shit a brick and hid.
