Yes I noticed she was in a new film, even though it has Sarah Jessica Parker in it I think I’ll go and see it as it looks promising (anyway, I like Ellen Page).
I find something on t’internet that people may find too excruciating to watch - be warned, I couldn’t make it all the way through (link safe for work).
I just took a look at the longer Youtube version of that clip. I’m not so sure its real. (I’m not so sure it’s not, though.) What’s with the reporter taking a phone call in the middle of a live interview? Something’s fishy.
But I’m not really sure either way.
I only mention this because if it’s not real, it doesn’t make me uncomfortable to watch it, while if it is real, I almost want to hit something.
No I have to agree with Malthus, the American is so pathetically not a threat in any way plus a coward and a traitor to his comrade the German lets him live as a demonstration of his utter contempt .
No doubt this act alone will totally fuck with the mans mind.
Apart from that most of the scenes in Severence but particulary the one where the bad guy is quite seriously torturing one of the firms outing people by cutting slivers of flesh from the mans chest who is all the time grinning inanely.
Also The Amazing Waldo Pepper,a film about air stunt men.
A stunt pilot pulls off a previously unperformed air stunt in front of a crowd in a field, elated he tries it again and crashes into the ground.
Theres no drama or big explosion or anything, just a broken upside down Bi plane with an obviously badly hurt pilot pinned under it moaning dreadfully AND a tiny flicker of flame at as I recall the tail plane.
The flame very slowly and undramatically spreads along the fuselage towards the injured pilot and eventually reaches him but to start of with is only burning him peripherally.
All this time his best mate has been watching but helpless to assist him plus a silent crowd.
As the flames take hold he starts screaming a bit and then more so,finally his mate Robert Redford picks up a sledge hammer and kills him with a blow to the head to stop him burning alive.
Quite sickening as it is all played out without any drama or music.
