The saddest bit, no matter if this is true or not, is that apple’s decision making is so capricious that this is completely plausible.

That’s just that blogger’s opinion.
I get the distinct impression from quotations from the press release that this was not intended as serious censorship.

I’m sorry, but the little “Censored!” block would make me MORE likely to spell offensive words on the calculator ap, just to entertain myself. 😃

As soon as I saw that, I had to try it, since I already had PCalc Lite installed. I can confirm that the “Censored!” block is there.
