Conan the Barbarian is one of my all time personal favorites. I love the mood and atmosphere. They did such an amazing job mixing fantasy and action. I hope they find a way to bring back Sandahl Bergman. The chemistry between her and Arnold made that film for me. Yes, she died in that film, 😛 , but Hollywood can write anything. I could see this working if they base the story on one of the stories where Conan is king of Aquilonia-it’d justify having an older Conan, and allow a logical setup for him to find himself in combat at his age. ---

I’m wondering how muscular Arnold can get at his current age? Conan needs to be a big guy even in old age. Not huge muscles, but certainly big enough to swing that sword. I recall Arnold got back in shape for his last Terminator film in 2003. Didn’t he time transport nekkid just like before? I recall reading he spent a lot of time in the gym getting ready for that role. Robots don’t have saggy bellys. 😃 ---

He didn’t become King until he was well into middle age and got married when he’d already been King for years, so it’s not like a 60+ yo Conan will have 40yo children and 20yo grandchildren drawing straws to see who tries to backstab (grand)Daddy tonight. ---

Absolutely. “Conan the Conqueror” is already a fantastic story - just add 20 minutes at the beginning where he becomes King by strangling Numedides on his own throne. But leave Bergman out of it. One of Conan’s defining characteristics is that he finds one or more new hot women in each story. Conan sticking with the same woman for 30 years would be like him coddling his enemies, seeing them left safe and sound in their homes, and hearing the joyful singing of their women. ---
