# Science mistakes that ruin films for you (open spoilers)

On the “inevitable” fatality or maiming injury of breaking through plate glass: I’m starting to suspect that advocates of prudent behavior are trying to convince the public, in view of the potential dangers involved, to not even _DREAM_ of EVER going through a plate glass window on purpose.

Well, it’s not like there’s no risk. People can go through glass unharmed, but I’d be willing to bet that it’s the exception rather than the rule.

It probably is. I’ve cut myself badly on plate glass, too. I just got lucky a few times, and felt I’d pass along the little bit I learned from it.

Don’t flinch. Keep going. Go straight.
