# Scope of searches

I sense that, when I click on the search icon, the search that will be made for me doesn’t include the very recent posts–that is, within the last few days. Am I correct?

Not only will it search posts from the last few days but within the last few minutes. I regularly use the search function to search for my own username so I can revisit threads I have posted to yesterday or even earlier in the day.

Unfortunately, I still seem to be doing something wrong. I key in “dougie monty” into the username box, without the underline which, it seems, was stalling my earlier searches. I’m about to click on the link shown in the first reply to my OP, but other than that I still don’t get any replies (in MPSIMS) later than July 10–and the last time I tried this was August 3, last Thursday. I hope the link will show me what I may be doing wrong…

Damn…I tried it by keying in “dougie+monty,” and it made no difference at all; I’m _still_ without a clue. ☹

I entered “dougie\_monty” (without the quotes) and got a whole page of search answers.
The search engine IS picky.
