That is the one I have.
Oh Yea, you try typing while the meanest scorpion in North America is inches from your keyboard.
I have a black light and Scorpio (Thanks KlondikeGeoff) has a nice blue glow to it. I would Still like to know if nature intended this for a reason.
Alas Scorpio is gone, my wife came home and sent him out to sea or where ever Arizona sends it waste water.

I can’t find Esprix’s scorpion thread from way back when! Did it get lost in TWOOLC?

Alas, there is more evidence of the damage that scorpions do.
If you click on the link above and read the section titled General, you’ll see evidence of another poor soul whose neural pathways have been re-routed by scorpion venom:
General:
…This species is found in some pet collections, both in US and Europe. Captive breeding **have been ** reported. Due to the strenght of its venom, this species should only be kept by experienced keepers
A scorpion! Run away! Run away!

Well, yeah, if you’re talking about occasions. Iwas talking about occassions, though, so I spelt it real good.
Tamerlane:
Why, sure - just check to see if the bottom of the patella on their pedipalps has any trichobothria ( sensory hairs ) or not. If not, might be the critter ( or some other buthid, perhaps - I got that off a Ca key and that is the only buthid in CA ).
Check scorpion kneecaps? Thats just crazy talk.
