Okay, speaking now as a baseball fan, what’s your point?
So Boras is resented for making millions and helping his clients make millions. I think we all understand that, but resentment towards rich athletes is nothing new; it predates my birth, in fact. Joe DiMaggio was ripped in the press for wanting more money out of the Yankees before my DAD was born. The point that baseball players are paid astounding sums of money is an observation that has been made approximately eleventy zillion times in the last three decades.
What’s the point regarding Scott Boras? He’s resented? Yes, he is. Now what?
I really think Boras loves the game of baseball. As an Angels fan who sits up from 3rd base, I can see into his fields level luxury seats and I see him at many games. But as far fans go, why should he care? Baseball is watched by fans, but it the guys on the field stats that we all watch. (well except we do all watch the wierdos who make it onto the jumbotron)
