::wiping away tears:: **Scotti** , what can I possibly say. Children, anyone’s children, have a way of wriggling into your soul. I saw your post over at **Euty** ’s thread and knew that I had to drop by here right away. My neighbors, directly across the street had a wonderful little two year old boy named Keegan. He would always point at the cats arounnd my house and say, “Keeeetie”. One day, while he was out in front of his house with his 'rents, I grabbed my cat Piewacket and took him across the street so that Keegan could finally pet one of these little kitties that he had seen so often. (All of the other cats were far too skittish to be approached.) Needless to say Keegan was stoked to tarnation and back. A couple of months later his red wagon appeared out in front of their house completely filled with flowers and all sorts of people came and went. A week or two later I found out that Keegan had died in his crib of causes unknown. He died on the anniversary of the space shuttle disaster, namely my birthday. Trust me, I know how you feel. ---

Scotti, I’m so terribly sorry for the unbelievably painful loss you and your friends are going through. Having to lose anyone to suicide is horrendous enough, but to lose your child, and such a young child too??? I just can’t imagine that amount of grief being able to stay inside of your heart! I have had a similar (but by no means the same) experience with a very young child I used to teach and adore, and found coping with the grief associated with his passing away was quite difficult.
