> Out of curiosity–would it have been in Judge Terry Lewis’s authority to reexamine the absentee military ballots as well and to throw out the dubious military ballots? Indeed, if Judge Lewis could have determined the validity of both overvotes and undervotes, then could he have also given himself the ability to determine the validity of overseas military ballots?

> I apologize if my question above is stupid, but I am simply curious about this; after all, if the U.S. Supreme Court would have refused to hear the Bush v. Gore case, then a statewide manual hand recount of both undervotes and overvotes, plus a rejection of the approximately 290 dubious military absentee ballots, should have resulted in Gore winning Florida in 2000 by a margin of between 350 and 450 votes.

My thoughts are this thread is 14 years old now and most of the posters here are gone (some are banned…man, anyone remember December??) so you are unlikely to get many answers from anyone who originally participated in this.

Also, out of curiosity–could the Florida Supreme Court have declared the butterfly ballot to be illegal and thus to order a re-vote in Palm Beach County? After all, I know that the FSC declared the butterfly ballot to be legal in real life, but there does appear to be at least some argument(s) in favor of the claim that the butterfly ballot was illegal:

I can get responses from the people who are here now, though–no? 🙂

Yes, but at least three of your questions were asked of a person that hasn’t been here since January of 2004.

Futurist110, you already created a thread on the basic topic where you could have asked the question of poster’s who are currently active. We really do not need two threads on the same topic running simultaneously when one is fourteen years old.

This one is closed; take your questions back to the thread you created.
