# Scouting and Gays

As a follow-up to the discussion on scouting and gays, here’s something: [Canada Welcomes First Gay Scout Troop](http://www.theglobeandmail.com/gam/National/20000619/UGAYYM.html).

The troop in question is at the Rovers level (18-24), but there may be gay-friendly troops for younger ages as well. The article suggests perhaps even at the Beaver level (~6-8 years old), to be receptive to gay parents.
