As long as this doesn’t turn into a scratch -n- SNIFF excersise… I too have the belly button/penis correlation. (Damn, that sounds almost scientific!) However, while I found the sensation to be a little odd, I would not clarify it as painful. In fact (and this will PROBABLY fall under the “too much information” files): It was me doing this as a young pup which got me thinking about my penis in a different light, shall we say. Yep. Revtim: You are not alone… sort of. Scratching that very same area (mine, not yours!) makes me need to pee. Somewhat similar wiring, I guess, but no pain–just pee. ---

Somewhat different (but possibly related) is that when I was younger (I am now 55) there was a small area of the left side of my scalp which, when scratched, would produce an itching sensation in the outer corner of my left eye. I have not noticed this for maybe 5 or 10 years however. Could this also explain the frequently observed dog-leg-shaking-upon-belly-being-scratched syndrome? ---
