# Screw Codes Screw Up Print

I just noticed something that might be of interest to you. Or maybe not. It was interesting to me.
How many of us screw up a vB code.
OK that’s all of us.
Like what happens someone is editing out the automatic bold and italics in quotes and nested quotes and accidently leaves a stray **[i\*\*\*\*]** in. It accidently renders your entire post slanty. Ah well, only you have egg on your face.
Well vB has a printible thread version and a coding mistake takes on a life if its own.
Consider if you will **Daniel** ’s [post in this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=50675&pagenumber=2#post968715) defending himself.
Ah, well it’s difficult to read, but at least it happened to just him.
Well take a look at the [print version](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/printthread.php?threadid=50675). (Sorry, there are no internal links. However, all you have to do is scrow down until the type turns permanently italics.)
(You cn also tell when the quote tag hasn’t been closed.
I doubt that there’s anything y’all can do about it since it appears to be a software glitch that relies on the \\ codes to clean itself up.

My codes are always messy, achey, runney and the snot just keep on dripping… Gawd I hate bad codes…

You don’t have your sig turned on, but I can tell you once I saw your armadillo in italics because of just that.
The [i] and [b] can carry over into the sig below.

Admittedly, I’m none too familiar with the printable versions, but I fail to see the problem here. Perhaps you could elaborate a bit?

I just noticed there should be a **Y** in the title!

Well **Cronos** , let’s make an example out of this thread! (Don’t worry folks, It won’t turn out like last time!)
I want the next six visitors to this thread to start their post with the \*\*[**quote]** tag. Do not use the close tag at the end.
