It’s the most ethnically diverse county in Texas, with a lot of Asian Americans, who tend not to be as virulently anti-mask, even when conservative. Even after mask mandates were dropped, indoor masking was still very common here in Sugar Land. Much less so the couple times I went over to Rosenberg. ---

I’m not sure Abbott CAN legally withhold funding. Certainly it’s not an enumerated gubernatorial power in the Texas Constitution. ---

Oh, totally fuck that guy. I just think he should be criticized for stuff like not being able to keep the power on and for a pandemic that’s spiraling totally out of control in the state (among the other things that turn Texas into a clusterfuck) and not if he knows his physical location. As it happens, at least he knows where he is.Though not what he is doing. He doesn’t have mental infirmity to blame for the other stuff.
