Screw "Wendy's" and their "tomato shortage"

Personally, I think the OP is a few tomatoes short of a bushel.

In any case, I go to Wendy’s just about every night and so far I have yet to recieve a tomato-free burger (much to my chagrin, because I don’t like 'em).

I would like to interrupt all regularly scheduled rants just to say that I hate you.

I love the Wild Mountain Chicken sandwiches, with a sick, strange, towering love. And yet, you had one and I did not. With tomato, no less.

Curse you, Lord Ashtar. I’m shaking my fist in your general direction.

I’m not quite sure what the prices are elsewhere, but here at McDonald’s, it is 30 cents to add tomato, 30 cents to add cheese, and to add bacon (which we don’t even do, but there is a price for it) is 50 cents. For free, though, you can request extra lettuce, pickle, onion, or any of the sauces. Hell, you can get little cups of Big Mac sauce if that’s your thing. (I like it with fries.)

Although we haven’t had a shortage of tomatoes, the ones we have at our store are typically very nasty. So much so that I (even being a tomato lover) get sandwiches without them right now. Again, I can only speak for NW Arkansas McDonald’s, but… you know, chain standardization, etc… :stuck_out_tongue:

My souvlaki plate last night came with two slices of a cherry tomato. Skimpy is not the word.

Just for the sake of jumping on the bandwagon…

I’ve never paid extra at any McDonalds in this area for requesting additional toppings, be they tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, etc.

All the Wendy’s in the area are still piling tomatoes on the sandwiches, requested or not.
