Agreed. Especially since it turns out thumping the cyclists might end up being the least of his legal problems. I wasn’t taking sides - I haven’t been involved in the discussion I just stumbled on a video that seemed particularly relevent to this thread.

However, I live in a small town/outer suburb that is extremely popular with cyclists and bikers when the weather gets nice. While the vast majority are fine, there are some really inconsiderate assholes, too. Thing is, for you that are just passing through, I may be one of the few cars you encounter, but for me that lives here, your the 125th rider I have had to deal with this weekend. That stop sign you fly through may well be the only one you crash today, but you’re the 50th one to do it on my street. Sometimes it’s frustrating.

Went for a two and a half hour ride with the hubby this morning and had zero car/bike clashes, yeah! In fact, we moved over to let the drivers turning right through while waiting at a red, and we had two drivers wave us through a busy intersection because they had noticed we were waiting forever. Mostly successful ride, except for the few pedestrians on the bike path with headphones in their ears.

Seems people 'round here (Calgary) are getting used to the bikes on the road this spring.
