I liked the episode… …except that it was too much “let’s copy a representative song from a dozen distinct musicals.” Distracting for a theater [strike]geek[/strike] aficionado to say “that one was _Evita_, and that was Stephanie D’Abruzzo’s own _Avenue Q_. There’s _Rent_ or _Grease_.” “Guy Love” was perfection, though. ---

Guess I’m in the minority. I’ve loved **Scrubs** for the last five years, and I like musicals as a casual viewer. But I really, really hated this episode. -Joe ---

“Guy Love” was pretty good, so I wouldn’t say it was a terrible episode. However, I really don’t like musicals very much, so this episode didn’t strike a chord with me (hah, I slay me). Not being into musicals at all, I didn’t even recognize what songs they were parodying. ---

The show has always played with it’s episode structure. They’ve done an episode where they only used jokes from previous episodes. They did the House parody a few weeks ago. Even if it’s been done before, at least a musical doesn’t seem out of place for them. Guy Love and Poo were both really funny. ---

I had high hopes for it, but it’s not good when the only thing I liked about it was a song about poo. I even thought Dr. Cox’s rant song wasn’t that good either. ---

I was generally surprised at how well most of the cast sang. I certainly didn’t expect it from, say, the Janitor or Bob Kelso – although there was that one episode where Eliot had a copy of Bob Kelso’s blues tape, and he didn’t sound too bad there either. ---

I thought it was a lot of fun. I’m glad they came up with a way to introduce the musical concept that wasn’t just one of JD’s standard daydreams. Dr. Cox’s song was a pleasant surprise because I didn’t at all expect a Gilbert and Sullivan-style patter song, but it was perfect for him. It even contained one of his trademark "re-HE-ally"s. Agreed that the “Everything Comes Down to Poo” number was the best. ---

It was okay. Not great. Guy Love was the only thing that really clicked for me. But I can’t begrudge them the experiment, since Scrubs has done “stunt” episodes before (my life in three cameras, anyone?) and hit it out of the park. ---

i thought this was the lamest episode of this show. well, except for the poo song, and the take off on “we go together” I will say this - those guys can sing! I loved Janitor’s deep baritone and Carla’s lyric alto. ---

Everything else seemed too self-consciously “clever”, though the _Grease_ number scored points for sheer enthusiasm. ---
