Why is there a Fruitopia machine?? I haven’t seen a Fruitopia in about 5 years, is this an old prop that they’ve kept?

I love Turk almost as much as JD does, but in a less ambiguously gay way, so I’m very happy to see he’s the new Chief of Surgery.

I’ll give it a B. I really like how Turk has remained pretty much 3-dimensional throughout this entire series. His plot was pretty inane, but I pulled for him anyway, and Cox was funny as usual.
Sadly, JD and Elliot are just cartoon characters at this point, tacked-on character development notwithstanding. Still, “weiner cousins” was hilarious.
Didn’t notice the Fruitopia machine.

So now the question is whether Eliot goes with JD when he moves. It would be a real downer to see them break up after all this…plus Eliot mentioned in a previous episode that she didn’t see herself being a doctor forever. I predict she’ll go with him and start doing something else.
It was great to see Sean again, but pairing him with Kim felt really forced.

I always thought Sean was Elliott best boyfriend, so I was wondering if this was a way to introduce the concept that in the final episodes, JD and Elliott will switch again and he will end up with his “baby mama” and she will end up with Sean, her best mate.

Sigh. I have such a love/hate relationship with Scrubs. I’ve been watching it pretty religiously since the beginning, and it used to be SO GOOD. Then it got really bad for a while, then there was a brief return to good writing, and now it all feels lame and forced again.
It really bums me out too, because if you watch an old episode now, it seems like a completely different show. It’s a dead horse at this point, but I’ll keep watching until the end. Who knows, maybe it will surprise us with one last good episode.
p.s. Wiener cousins made me laugh out loud.

He mentioned that she [kim] lived 37 minutes from the hospital. Hell my commute is longer than that. I don’t think the move will trigger anything drastic.

Weiner cousins. Now that’s an image that’s going to fester.
I thought doctors had to live within a certain radius of the hospital they work at? A friend of mine was married to a doctor and they had to live within 15 minutes of the hospital. Eliot is still in private practice, so I don’t think it matters where she lives.
It was nice to see Scott Foley again (I think he’s the one who is a best match for Eliot) but the whole Kim/Sean thing seemed out of left field. Even a quick scene of them bumping into each other and Eliot introducing them would have been enough.

I thought the Kim/Sean thing was actually kind of inspired. The guide listing for this episode only said “JD doesn’t like Kim’s new boyfriend”, so I didn’t know who it was. I liked the Sean character back in the day, so I’m pleased at the call-back.
That being said, I gotta ask whomever wrote this episode these questions:
1. Why was JD angry at Sean? Last I recall, JD was the one who caused him to break up with Elliot.
2. Why in the world would they offer the job of Chief of Surgery to someone so young?

There’s an entire episode from an earlier season about JD wanting what he can’t have, but not wanting what he has (I think this was a Sean and Elliot episode, actually), and Sean is now dating the mother of his son. So, not only does he have what JD doesn’t, he used to have what JD has.
It’s gotta sting.
