That TD they took away from Winslow was some bullshit. The defender was mugging him and he gets flagged for shrugging him off basically. ---

Well I’ve given myself a chance. I have a 30 point lead with Shayne Graham and the Steelers D to play, but Rocket Science has Roddy White, Woodhead, Mendenhall, and Branch to play. So… I really need the Pats to put up nothing but FGs. Jammers is crushing Varlos, a 100 point lead with Jennings still to play. Varlos has Ryan, Wallace, Welker, Peterson, and Hernandez to play. ---

I must admit to taking a certain amount of perverse pleasure in **Beef** ’s defeat. If I’d won my game here, then I would’ve been happy to face him in the championship (or not, whatever). Given that I lost, though, I’m glad that he did as well, since now all I have to do is beat him in next week’s Big League title game and it’s Varlos 1, Beef 0. ---

Yeah, that’s why I’ve been saying all season that I’m definitely not a lock. All it takes is for one off day and you’re out of it. Actually, the final score was 106.54 to 99.88. If you read into that a little bit, you’ll figure out how he won. ---

The part that really shocks me isn’t getting mediocre days out of both Hillis and Foster, but rather it’s that Pittsburgh’s DEF only managed 2 points against the Sanchez-led Jets offense. ---

For some reason I had a feeling of doom with that bullshit PI call on Winslow’s TD, and it turns out it would’ve made the difference. Oh well, at least I stayed alive in the all-pro league so that I’m in the league championship in 2 of my 4 leagues and in the third place game in the other two. Overall still an amazing fantasy season. Anyway, your championship game will be It’s Not Rocket Surgery! vs Jules Andre. I get to kick around Varlos for third place. ---

If it makes you feel any better (I already know it won’t), you lost by 6.66 (of course) and that Winslow non-TD was a 6.2 pt play… so you would have lost anyway. ---

The championship game is gonna be a close one. I had several tough choices, most of which look like they were the right call. I started Freeman over Kitna at QB; Kitna came out last night with an injury after throwing 2 pick-6s and got only 7 fantasy points. I started Gronkowski over Tamme and Gronk got 17+ points. On the other hand, I started Andre Caldwell over Deion Branch (only 2.5 points) and Jacoby Ford; that one remains to be seen. Jules Andre has several starters playing Tuesday, so this one’s going to overtime! ---

Looking good for Rocket Surgery. He has a 30 point lead and Roddy White to play against Jules’ DeSean Jackson and Akers. I stomped the hell out of Varlos for the third place game. If I had made it to the championship game, I’d probably have beaten Jules, so I ended up coming up 6 points short of the championship. Ah the fickle nature of head to head fantasy. ---

I think this is the first time I’ve ever lost in the championship round, in all the years I’ve done fantasy football. It took a 5TD wtf performance from Josh Freeman, a random 2TD game from a backup TE, and half my team putting up stink bombs, but it happened. Congrats again to Rocket Surgery, who seemed to make all the right calls and week 16 pickups and really earned it.
