I would like to ask those who disagree with me on this issue what evidence would they accept that high rates of black crime and low black intelligence are primarily determined genetically? If they cannot answer that question it is apparent to me that they are uninterested in a rational investigation into this matter, that they really do not want to know, and that they do not want others to know. ---

I would like to ask what is it that makes a person seek out all the information they can find about supposed genetic differences in supposed races. What exactly prompts that sort of obsessive curiosity?\* \*Rhetorical question, pretty sure I know. ---

If the legacy of slavery in the United States and Jim Crow legislation was responsible for low black IQs and high crime rates in the United States we would expect blacks in Africa to have higher IQs and lower crime rates, but this is not the case. ---

Another thing to note on crime statistics- our criminal justice system, historically speaking, has been notoriously biased against minorities (and blacks in particular). And though this bias has decreased with time, [it still exists](http://www.sentencingproject.org/doc/publications/rd_reducingracialdisparity.pdf). When black defendants have less experienced attorneys, [receive harsher sentences than whites for the same crimes](http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2010/03/12/90316/racial-disparities-in-sentencing.html), are far more likely to be “randomly” stopped or searched, etc, then it’s very difficult to see crime statistics as a legitimate indicator of any black “tendency” towards criminal behavior. ---

You’ve shown essentially no evidence for IQ rates in Africa- only estimates, which appear to be guesses. There simply has not been large scale IQ testing in Africa. And as for crime, African countries tend to be poorer, and poorer countries tend to have more crime. Central American countries tend to be a bit richer per-capita than most sub-Saharan African countries, but they have higher crime rates. Does this mean Central Americans are more genetically inclined towards crime than Africans? ---

You do not dignify your side of it with your pile on techniques. You may think there is something unusual about my perspective. I assure you that there are tens of millions of non blacks and even a few blacks who think the way I do. We have simply had it with black crime, and with the attitude that black criminals are not responsible for their crimes; non blacks who obey the law are responsible. Also, now that the era of easy economic growth seems to be over, millions of whites are in a surly mood. What lies ahead is a zero sum game struggle between groups of Americans who do not like each other. The liberalism of the 1960s was based on generosity, which in turn was based on an optimistic belief that America was on the dawn of a new age of human fulfillment, and that the old limits no longer applied. Few people think that way any more. ---

Your points are one possible explanation for some of the facts you cite- but there is no evidence your explanation is any better than the “liberal” explanation (that is, that there are still systemic biases in education, the justice system, and society at large in America against black people). You have no DNA evidence at all- zilch- no genes to point to. It’s pretty hard to argue a genetic explanation when you have no genetic evidence. And some of your facts are weak, or don’t say what you think they say. There simply is not that much documented IQ testing from Africa. It’s not credible to take one test from one country (with a small sample size) and say that you can “estimate” the neighboring countries from that. It would be like estimating Iowa’s crime rate by looking at the crime in one neighborhood of Chicago. You’ve convinced yourself that your opinions are based on good evidence. But from an outsider, it just looks like you’ve found some weak justifications for your pre-existing prejudice. Perhaps you’ve been a victim of crime, or people you’re close to are victims. It’s pretty well documented that the justice system, in all phases, has been biased against black Americans for most of our history- though it’s improved lately. It’s also pretty well documented that black Americans, generally, go to worse schools- their teachers have less experience, their facilities are in poorer condition, and you’ve shown statistics that show black kids are more likely to have a home-life that’s not conducive to good education. It’s an awfully complicated problem, and many think they have a simple solution- like throwing more money at schools. You’re solution seems basically to give up; the schools are worse for blacks? Too bad, they probably weren’t going to learn anyway. Justice system biased? Doesn’t matter, most of 'em are criminals or will be eventually. If you want to convince people like me that we should use such a heartless solution, it will take more than a few statistics from a biased and unfair criminal justice system, and from an educational system that doesn’t have the tools for many communities. ---
