Well, that sucks. Stupid time zones! You’re welcome to pop in for cameos near the end of the sessions, or when Japan and the US have Daylight Saving Times that don’t line up.
Hell to the Yes! Once I start using real villains as opposed to mooks, that sounds great!
So far I think my build is okay. It’s only a 1st level thing, I haven’t played since 1993, and once I start figuring out the system I can see what happens.
Meh… Optimizing is overrated. Nowadays, people try to squeeze every +1 out of their characters… I don’t do that for my NPCs as a DM. That makes fights go too easy!
Lunarnoodle is being a lamer covered in lamesauce with a side of lame. Also she’s sick and probably won’t be able to make this weekend so she isn’t sure if she wants to play now. Did I mention she is lame?
I came up with a different play by post that has worked out fairly well. Elendil’s Heir noticed the game hit its 4th anniversary this week. It is still slow and more story telling but several players have been there from the beginning and Hoopy Frood for around 3 years I think.
Still miss your banter in the setup thread. Was always good stuff.
So the first session is Saturdat at 5:30 Pacific Coast time. Three of you have traded skype names and started rolling up chracters. I have interest from one more player, plus Finn’s friend.
A good alternative to Cleric is the Favored Soul. They are to a Cleric what a Sorcerer is to a Wizard. Wizards study to get their arcane power; Clerics pray and act devotedly and stuff. Sorcerers are born with .01% Dragon or Demon blood or similar, which gives them arcane power; Favored Souls are chosen by their deity and granted powers.
