Didn’t want to start another thread…) League ID#: 52940 Password: fondue I have scheduled the draft for March 27th at 6:30 pm (that’s Pacific time). If that time is not convenient for you and you still want to participate, and enough people agree that it’s a problem, the time can be changed. League stats: It’s a rotisserie league set-up, but I’ve changed some of the settings from the defaults. It will be a league of twelve teams, 26 players per team (plus two DL spots). You get eleven pitchers, ten position players (I’ve added and extra “utility player”, and five bench spots). In addition, I’ve added a couple of scoring categories: in addition to the standard Runs, Home Runs, RBIs, Stolen Bases, and Batting Average, I’ve added Errors (I really missed having a defensive stat last year) and OPS (on base + slugging percentage). For pitchers, the standard categories were Wins, Saves, Strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP (walks & hits/inning pitched) to which I added Holds and Strikeouts per Walk Ratio. The player universe is all of baseball. ---

OK, the Austin Senators are deleted, that leaves us with ONE more spot, sign up now! I changed the draft time to Tuesday, March 19 at 8:40 PM PT. This is the same day, but in the evening, 5:40 EST. I just spent the ENTIRE day on planes and in airports ( Couple of hour delay at DFW) coming back from Canada, and frankly I’m too bushed to cross reference between this thread, the temp boards, e-mail, etc to try and find out if this is good for everyone. IF IT IS NOT, post here, but please, folks, if you can possibly make it at that time, do so. I got enough on my plate as it is. My inclination is not to change it unless 3 or more of the managers can’t make it. Sorry, but I’m running this league, playing one game of Diplomacy and GMing another, plus I’m working like a dog to make the money needed to move the love of my life down here from Canada. Weirddave just pawn, in game of life. ---

THANK YOU **Weirddave**. And not to bother you any further, but a note: 8:40 pm PT is actually 11:40 pm ET, not 5:40 pm. Hope that doesn’t present a problem for anyone. The new time is just peachy for me. If anybody has a problem with the new time or has input about changing it, I’d be happy to collate everyone’s opinions to save **Weirddave** the trouble. … And this is exactly why you don’t mess around with draft times, to make one person happy. The original draft time was just fine for me. I imagine 11:40 p.m. won’t be fine for quite a lot of EST-ers. ---

After the draft time is hashed down to minutiae for days, like planning for a Chicago DopeFest, somebody let me know when it is, please. P.S., If I miss yet another draft, I will be pulling an Iampunha on the league. Don’t mean to be a baby about it, but it happened in the Fantasy Hockey league, and it sucks the joy out of the entire season. If I can make it, I’ll make it. If I can’t, I’ll tell you and you can drop my team and put somebody else in my place. ---

Works for me. I really am sorry, everyone, to be the squeaky wheel. In my defense, I’ve been asking for the time change since before most everyone joined the league. If this doesn’t work out, if the previous time is still available, just move it back and I’ll cut class or something to make the draft. I just aced the midterm today like a real pro so I can afford to take a couple days off sometime soon. ---
