His improvement from being the worst QB in the league to about average is certainly noteworthy if he can continue it, but I simply don’t see that happening. His stats are the result mostly of volume, not efficiency (his passer rating was the second lowest of QB’s with 4000 yards passing behind Jamies Winston) and he led the league in interceptions. He should be a fine fantasy QB, but I wouldn’t bet he’ll ever be a top 10 NFL QB. ---

Hey all – sorry I’ve been late checking in. I feel kind of sad saying this given that I have an extra pick in this year’s draft and a really young team set up to contend for awhile, but I think my fantasy football days are coming to an end. I’m not really on the boards here anymore, and it makes more sense for ya’ll to have someone who will be around to participate more. I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding someone to take my place. Good luck to all! ---

Yeah I was going to do some review and talk to Varlos later and see who seems like good candidates. We definitely want a quality recruit because this is a great league with lots of tqlk and competiton. At least furt’s roster has been pretty good lately. We won’t have to ask anyone to take over a last place team. Finished second this year. ---

I’m much more inclined to consider people with years of reliability first. This league is very stable. We’ve only had one ownership change and that was in year 2. I have a few people in mind but I have no idea if they’re interested. I’ll look more thoroughly tomorrow and make some proposals to you guys privately. ---

Alright guys. I went over the history of the various SDMB fantasy leagues to come up with a list of replacement candidates, and Jules Andre stuck out as my number one candidate. He may not be in recent memory because he’s been shedding SDMB leagues for a few years, mostly because they’re all disappointing in the amount of league participation relative to what they should be. Except this one - this is the one league that lives up to what the leagues can be. When he did play with us, he was among the most active participants in terms of player moves and thread participation, and he’s also a really good fantasy player and has good football knowledge. I think I tried to recruit him for the dynasty league originally but I can’t remember why it didn’t work out. Anyway, I’ve been involved in most of the SDMB leagues from the start and dealt with dozens of players, and he’s my #1 candidate by far. He’s also enthusiastic about joining the league and playing with a high participation rate. I talked to Varlos and he’s happy with it, so I’m going to submit the idea to everyone else and hope all is good. Seems like a slam dunk to me. If so, welcome aboard Jules. ---
