Just as I was kicking myself for starting Eli over Big Ben, Donte Moncrief put the team on his shoulders and single-handedly gets the win for me, needing 20-ish and earning 21-ish. Pretty sure it was the extra motivation of playing against the team that traded him away. The Eli vs Ben decision was a coinflip based on projections (19.12 vs 19.42) and the matchup (Eli vs Falcons, Ben vs 49ers) looked like it favored Eli, so I went Eli based on his history of having big games against the Falcons. That’ll learn me; time to weigh Yahoo rankings more highly. There was no way I was going to start the Jets DEF against Indy, though. If I had started Ben I’d have scored another buck-fifty, and if on top of that I’d started the Jets (vs Indy) instead of the Steelers (vs SF) I would have approached 160. Ah well. Fingers crossed that score corrections don’t cost me this comeback win. ---

**Omni** got a few retro-starts just after kickoff; I got an email at 1:09 saying he was temporarily locked out of his account, and he wanted to swap out DeMarco Murray and Dwayne Allen (both Out this week), and change his defense from KC to Dallas. Nothing of note had happened in these games at the time (Dallas had accrued a sack, I think), so I figured it was no problem. Just pointing it out for transparency’s sake. ---

3.95 from a QB? I think I pulled close to a zero one week with Jamarcus Russell, but less than 5 points from a heathy QB has got to be a lowlife in the history of this league. ---

I’ve got five starters injured and 165 points so far this week (180 projected). I don’t have much hope for this season, but its nice to know I’m not doomed. And anything goes in the Northeast standings. ---

If I did the math right, Varlos will have far and away the most points through three weeks, with me in second and **Beef** and **Justin Bailey** (!) in a virtual tie for second (assuming Rodgers sticks to his projection). I’m looking to free up a roster spot by trading a player for draft pick consideration next year, very cheap. Specifically, I wanted to trade one of WR Charles Johnson, WR Michael Crabtree, QB Johnny Manziel, and RB DeAngelo Williams. Crabtree & Johnson are little more than veteran WR depth, but as starting WRs on their own teams they are at least actually that, and both are still young enough fill that roll for a few more years. Williams is basically a one year lottery ticket (if Le’Veon Bell gets hurt, he’s Pittsburgh’s lead back, on a team that doesn’t do RB-by-committee, and he played very well as the starter for two weeks while Bell served a suspension). Manziel is Manziel. If you have **any** interest in any of these players, make me an insultingly low offer and I’ll probably say yes unless someone else makes a less insulting one. ---

No - the number of picks has to match. It’s not a big deal; you’d just get Varlos’ last pick as well as the player. I was getting awfully nervous toward the end of last night’s game. Rodgers was absolutely torching the Chiefs and could have thrown two more TDs if he felt like it. Still, I’m in first place overall now with a 2-0 division record and a solid points total. I also get **Retro** this week, who really has nobody scary on his roster aside from AJ Green (with Brady on a bye). ---

Right, just so long as the picks/players to be exchanged during the next draft are equal in number on both sides. So, I could give some Charles Johnson now, and then next year we swap my 3rd Rounder for someone else’s 2nd, or something. Manziel could likely be had just for the option to swap 2nd round picks. Etc. Also: Woo-hoo! First place! In your faces, suc … wha? 4th place? Oh, right, divisional record is the first tiebreaker, and since \*\*Ellis \*\*has a 1-0 division record I’m not in the lead for the division. Still, leading the points-scored race by 34 after three weeks ain’t too shabby, even my team is probably still too flawed for that to keep up. Stay tuned, probably in a few weeks I’ll be doing _just_ well enough to make some panicky short-term trades. Sammy Watkins for Arian Foster! My next 1st Rounder for Chris Ivory! Foster is only 29, and hasn’t actually carried the ball all that much over his career. He only has 40 more touches than Jamaal Charles, for example, and 200 fewer than Shady McCoy.
