Ok, I’m back from break – what a trip that was! First visiting family in Alabama, then off to Disneyland (the girl they have playing [Merida](http://screencrush.com/files/2012/07/brave-disney-2.jpg) is just impossibly hot), then Tijuana and points south in Baja. Saw the Panama Canal, Risa, then a few days each getting to know Fillory, Endor, and Narnia, before wrapping it up with a fun and profitable weekend in beautiful Atlantic City, NJ! Or, no, wait – either that, or I’ve just been generally bummed and procrastinating even my recreation for most of the past month. But no matter, feeling better now, and I’m eager to get things rolling. A nice bit of _schadenfreude_ helped, when I heard the news about Jordy Nelson: **SenorBeef** is my biggest inter-division rival in this league (in my eyes, at least). And, more importantly, I now own Green Bay’s #1 and #2 WRs now, on a team with Aaron Rodgers and no other established, legitimate receiving threats? Anyway, continue making your cuts. I’ve set the deadline for 12:00 midnight (Pacific) Thursday night (giving us all of tomorrow and the next day), but we can move it a little if absolutely necessary. Then the draft will start basically as soon as we’re ready after that, probably within 12-24 hours. Getting down to crunch time, we are. ---

For now, I’m cutting Ben Tate, Benny Cunningham, Justin Blackmon (:(), and Tampa’s DEF. That would give me 3 picks, but I’m on the fence about a couple others. Just for fun, here’s what my lineup looks like at the moment: Cam Newton Tony Romo - Johnny Manziel Doug Martin Giovanni Bernard Jonathan Stewart Reggie Bush - DeAngelo Williams Danny Woodhead Calvin Johnson Randall Cobb - Emmanuel Sanders Sammy Watkins - Davante Adams Larry Fitzgerald - Charles Johnson Michael Crabrtree Greg Olsen Zach Ertz Stephen Gostkowski Baltimore Carolina Asterisked players are those that are on the block (though all of the non-premium guys are very gettable if you think a Larry Fitzgerald or a Reggie Bush is somewhat undervalued). Note DeAngelo Williams will be Pittsburgh’s starter for Weeks 1-4 while Le’Veon Bell serves his suspension – does anyone want to let me move up on the draft a bit in exchange for his services? **Petey**? ---

Well, so far we have at least four guys who’d prefer to start the draft Monday-ish. That’s fine with me provided that (A) that’s not a lot more inconvenient for some other players, and (B) that we all solemnly swear to draft in a timely fashion. I’ll leave the cut deadline as is for the moment, pending further discussion.
