Sure I’m out there making moves, attempting trades, and setting lineups, but, really, my heart just isn’t in it. I only played for the next contract, and then I relaxed, got complacent, and quit competing. I also found the fantasy football game too fast for me, I was addicted to purple drank, I haven’t recovered from a wrist injury, I showed up overweight at the draft, I had a gambling problem, I was the product of PED’s, and I my “me first” attitude pissed off my roster. ---

I didn’t see the Cassel TD that got called back that would’ve made me win the game, but since it was in favor of the Steelers I bet the penalty was sketchy at best. ---

And while we’re are it, we should take this opportunity to remind everyone that setting your lineup on Sunday morning does lend itself to problems like this, while setting lineups earlier in the week and then revisiting them is more fun and better for your team, besides. So, that’s encouraged. Also worth commenting on: last week I scored the second-most points in the league, but, of course, ran into the highest score and lost. And now I’ve got to face \*\*Beef \*\*and his, admittedly, pretty good team. If I can’t pull off the upset, I’ll need to rock the season-ending intra-divison round robin to get into the tournament. Then again, I’ve somehow scored only 53 points fewer than **Beef** , and mine is a much stronger team than it was before I traded for Doug Martin, so I think I have a chance in this game. Damn, we’re really getting into the nitty-gritty of the playoff chase. It’s nice to be in the running this year. ---

It’s nothing personal, Varlos, but I’m going to rip a hole in time and space where your asshole used to be. I’m gonna lose the #1 seed to a fucking botched extra point and I’m taking it out on anyone who plays me. On the plus side, I’ve got a fairly tight grip on the #2 seed, which means I get to beat Stringer in the championship, which will taste sweeter than knocking him out in the semifinals round. ---

I’m kinda swinging for the fences with my starting lineup, specifically at QB: I’m sitting 3rd-ranked Matt Ryan in favor of 17th-ranked Tony Romo, figuring that the Arizona defense is a lot less likely to allow a monster passing game than Cleveland’s. _Oh!_ wouldn’t it be just \*awful \*if **Beef** ’s beloved Cleveland Browns were felled by the same 425/4/1 passing day that dealt his fantasy team its second straight defeat… ---

Better yet, you lose the wildcard points tiebreaker to less than the difference between Ryan’s and Romo’s score. ---

Nominally it should still be a close game: I’m down (as of this sentence) by 12.97 points, you have 7 players going right now to my 6, and at the end of the early games we’ll each have three players still to go. However, you’re three late-game players have a combined projected score of 42.59, while my three are projected for just 24.2 (I’m all Kickers and Defenses – pretty low upside types – while you’re all solid starters/stars). So it’s not \*totally \*impossible for me to win, but realistically I needed to come out of the 1 PM games with a double-digit lead to really be in it. Drat. ETA: I was right to sit Ryan, I guess, but unfortunately Romo has been almost as putrid. ---
