Make August 22th cut day, and start the draft on August 27th. Give every team 12 hours to make a selection/trade, and let them turn in their pre rankings at any time, if at all. Each time a selection is made, the next person has 12 hours to make theirs. The first part of the draft will run pretty quick (I’m guessing the first 5 picks are set in stone already), so I don’t think we’ll run into many problems. ---

Starting on August 27th only leaves 8 days to complete the draft before the season starts. ---

Yeah, I think we should make August 15 the cut day and start the draft on August 20. But even this early start would be fine, because as Hamlet said, the first five picks (at least) are already spoken for. ---

I’m also quite open as to the start day. Anytime around the end of the 3rd preseason game is fine with me. As far as the first pick, yeah, I had pretty much decided that I wanted one of those two top TE’s and I thought this week was the best time to move the pick rather than playing chicken with it all the way down to the start of the draft. ---
