Just one of those snide, under-the-table inside jokes I’d fill a movie with if I were writing the screenplay. Which explains why I’m not a successful screenwriter. :frowning:

So anyway, now when you hear that David Mamet uses the pseudonym “Richard Weisz” on projects where he feels he was not properly credited (see Ronin) then you can laugh knowingly while other people back away and treat you like a wandering madman.

Stranger On A Train: I was wrong, but your pun didn’t make sense phonetically. There is no way to read it with normal English valuation and come up with ‘lowdown’ as the surname.

I’m not coming down on you, but English orthography still has a nontrivial relationship to English phonetics once you account for all of the exceptions.
