Agreed, 8/1 is ludicrously long given Arse’s woeful CL form. If I can find Kiev+1 goal to win for 4/1 or longer I might punt rather more than a fiver. ---

what about Letchkov for Romania in the 94 world cup? And for a true Baldies 11 you can’t count the people who are shaved bald by choice, which rules out Dublin, Mills, Ferdinand, Carlos, veron and Diouf. They have to be people who just can’t accept the inevitable. Bobby Charlton would obviously be the captain. ---

Alan Gilzean and Ralph Coates are spectacular combovers. Danny Mills is bald - the shaved heid is a cover up (that I am no stranger to myself). What about Fanc Le Bouef? (your spelling may vary). Syrups have got to be good on a footballer. Apropos of absolutely nothing, I have read that Buencho Genchev (see above re spelling) runs a cafe in West Kensington called “strikers” and his meat balls are worth a trip. I work in and around W14 and can’t find it anywhere. It has taken on the feeling of a grail quest - Bocho’s Bulgarian Meatballs. ---
