Maeglin has never been to a prom or a party. Chances are he doesn’t even know there was a party at Swiddles’ house. He doesn’t think to ask. He just hopes there aren’t any loud parties on his street. Maeglin hates losing sleep. Perhaps reading his dog-eared copy of _The Portable Curmudgeon_ will brighten his mood. It doesn’t. MR ---

Well, if we’re gonna (sort of) quote 80’s movies… I’m Seriousart. The Sportos, the Motorheads, Geeks, Sluts, Bloods, Wastoids, Dweebees, Dickheads… They all adore me. They think I’m a righteous dude. 😉 I also live next door to Swiddles and try not to be too obvious with my digital camera… (more recent movie reference) ---

I’m StoneGolem…Mr. Golem until you spend one day in my World History class, then just Stone. I’m the “cool” teacher, the one that everyone comes to for advice or help. I reuglarly have students over at my apartment to shoot pool or play PlayStation. Hell, I’ll hook you up with a beer. I try to make sure my class is fun and interesting, because I really like my students. I was in band and drama and choir and AP courses and had a girlfriend and a job…I know how you feel, especially around finals. I’m the teacher who tore a kid off of his girlfriend when he was slapping her around in the hall, then knocked him flat on his ass when he took a swing at me. The principals and superintendants and parents don’t like me, and I’m probably going to be fired a la Dead Poets’ Society. I’m often found in the band hall busting it out on my trumpet, or in my classroom jamming on the bass guitar. I’ll be “chaperoning” prom, which means most likely I’ll sneak out and go grab a beer around midnightish. I wish there was a really cute female teacher. Ah well… ---

Has anyone seen seriousart? My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious. ---

Aside from the fact that TaleraRis sounds like my younger sister (who’s in high school), I’d be one of those people who wishes he knew about Swiddles’s party but finds out the Monday after, as he thought they had gathered for a pre-prom party and had then gone off to prom. I’m one of those people who’s not even in the “out” crowd. So I walk home after seeing the Swiddles crew leaving her basement, alone and wishing I had some semblance of courage to talk to anyone. I’ll probably go home, listen to oldies and either cry or write depressing prose. ---
