I have a dream that one day little posters will be able to join hands as sisters and brothers, in peace, free of ignorance\*, trolls and TMI. I dream of the day when ignorance and hate are no longer. I dream of the day when Love and Peace, is the norm, and not a dream. I hope to meet more Dopers. I hope to see the day when newbies don’t ask “Why can’t we edit?” I hope to get this stuff off my finger, it’s starting to gross me out. ---

I second **Humble Servant’s** wish and hope that **Steve Wright** will post a thread about meeting his Doper Sweetheart and telling all of us how in love and happy he is. I hope that I can get through my daughter’s graduation, a 1500 mile move, and the next six quarters of college without crumbling under the stress. I hope that I can create a life full of love, quiet contentment and lots of sex. ---

Hmm, very interesting. It seems that we are split down the middle. Some want world peace, some want world domination, and a few just want board notoriety. Fascinating! This tells us something very enlightening about the collective psyche of dopers. . . and I’m sure someone will be along shortly to explain it to us. For those of you seeking world domination, you will only be helped by visiting [Villain Supply](http://www.villainsupply.com) for all of your evil needs. Those seeking world peace, I wish you the best of luck, but humans being what they are. . . Well, lets just say you may want to start out with a more [Peaceful World](http://www.lunarembassy.com) and try to maintain it. This one is already quite stained I’m afraid. Everyone who wished for more board notoriety, yours is the hardest wish of all. You see, the Lion already had his courage, and the Tin Man always had a heart, but fame and notoriety on the SDMB, well that is something special. However; I have compiled a list of your names and promise to sprinkle them liberally into threads where it seems feasible to do so. Now for the trivia portion of our show. One of the links above is a farce, teh other is regrettably serious. Bonus points if you stay on either site long enough to figure out which is which. ---

[hijack]If I _were_ to see some material I’d like to use in my sig, what is the correct etiquette on its use? Am I free to use it as long as I include the user name, or is it more polite to contact the user and ask permission? If permission is preferred, what is the best manner to obtain it? Should I break into the thread to request it, hoping the user will check back, or send an e-mail? If no one here knows the answer, I’ll start a thread to find out.[/hijack] ---
