My spelling is pretty crappy. That’s why I went to the trouble of installing Ispell. It’s a spell checker that adds a button to your IE toolbar. Shame help it doesn’t with my grammer 😕 [ISpell](http://www.iespell.com/) ---

**Libertarian** You need to read over the OP, then take the time to carefully consider the tone of your posts, before you post. It appears you have a lot of trouble in your life, and I wish you well. However, being ill does not excuse randomly attacking a person who did not wrong you at all. I was just stating my situation in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=4660318#post4660318) and you made a comment with the sole purpose of being hurtful. I can only wonder how your RL attitude towards others is right now, because at least here you have to take the time to type out your statement, and presumably proofread it too. That doesn’t happen in face to face conversation. I hope you take my words to heart, and try to find some serenity so you stop biting people’s head off with no provocation. Again, I wish you well, and hope things turn out for the best for you. Just, ease up, ok? ---

Yes, they DID warn me about that, but I forgot. Thanks for reminding me, Lamia. It so happens that I’m woofing down some turkey right now, and I have the oven pre-heated for something else. And I’ve taken only two pills so far. 😃 (I have to take another in about five minutes.) ---

Everytime anyone posts it just continues the huge circle-jerk of ego stroking that goes on here at SDMB. In fact thats the way all messageboards and maybe all social interaction in life is. When I post this, I am going to check back later to see if it affected someone. If someone agrees, then I’ll feel like, "hey I am a good person, people agree with me 🙂 !) If nobody responds, then I’ll have no reaction. If someone says something negative, then I’ll try again to get someone over to my side. If I get another negative the cycle will continue until I feel dirty. Some people have different means, posting cutesy threads, debate threads, posting information to show that they know it. That’s what a debate on the internet is good for. ---

It’s good to hear that you may not after all have MS, **Lib**. A friend of mine has had it for four years now, and so I know secondhand about the torments its sufferers can go through. Not at all a walk in the park! – more like a blindfolded trek through a mountain range swept by blizzards. And you’re right about people not understanding the storms raging beneath a normal-seeming exterior. My friend’s MS is under control now with her current medication regime, and hopefully will stay so till better treatments can be discovered. She too had to go through a gruelling round of testing, and more testing, and more… before the diagnosis was finally confirmed. If what you’re dealing with does after all turn out to be MS, I’m hoping powerfully that you’ll also find a treatment regime that will restore you to decently good health. And it if is instead a confluence of other stuff that can be remedied – YIPPEEEEEE!!! You should feel a lot of relief from the Prednisone, too, judging by how it helped my mom when she was on it. ---

I’m really not getting the whole thing about the SDMB in general being hostile. Do we have certain posters who lean towards hostility? Certainly. Do we have other posters who don’t necessarily lean that way but are sometimes hostile nonetheless? Yeah; I’ve been guilty of snarkiness myself a time or two (if not outright hostility). But, generally speaking, I’ve not found so much honest support anywhere else, on the net or IRL. By “honest support”, I don’t mean that everyone will gather around clapping me on the back and telling me how wonderful my idea is even if it’s really the most boneheaded thing I’ve ever said; this ain’t _The Family Feud_, after all; rather, when I’ve really needed support, and asked for it openly, there’ve been plenty of folks here willing to give it. **Libertarian** , I’m truly sorry to hear of your troubles; prayers have been said on your behalf.
