Well, if that’s the problem, we have a solution. Congress passes a law legalizing gay marriage throughout the country. But we exempt gay marriages from all federal programs that provide money for marriage ceremonies. If those people want to get married, let them pay for their own caterer. ---

Should I have the option not to have my tax dollars go to it? Conservatives always trot out the tired old saw that they’re not actually opposed to X, but simply believe the government shouldn’t pay for X. Why not just be honest and say you’re against X? Everything the Repubs are doing now is an attempt to beat Obama. The debt crisis game they are playing is to make him look bad . I suspect most people are too intelligent to fall for their crap and getting tired of the game. I don’t see how Obama can lose to any of the 7 dwarves the Repubs are offering. ---
