[CNN/ORC instant poll.](http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2016/images/10/05/vp.poll.pdf.pdf) Pence 48% Kaine 42% Slight edge to Pence, but if you dig down into that pdf you can find a number of areas in which Kaine beat Pence. I don’t see how this could move the needles much. ---

It does seem that Kaine was trying to help Clinton, and succeeded, whereas Pence was trying to help Pence, and also succeeded. ---
