Kaine has landed some punches but it’s not clear if there’s any real winner. I think both well have a meme waiting for them at the end of the evening. ---

Pence strikes me as somebody auditioning for 2020. Kaine strikes me as somebody trying to win _this_ election. ---

What’s all this Pence stuff about rebuilding the military, “rebuild our nuclear forces” ? “Our Navy is as small as it was in 1916?” Are we in a nuclear arms race I haven’t heard about? What does he want to do with new boats, play with them in the bathtub? It’s the 21st fucking century! ---
