Oh. For a moment I thought I was deemed important enough by someone in this game to redirect my brilliance.

Thanks for nothing **oG**.

My vote stands.

Fair point, I guess that’s not likely to be a slip, then. Darn it, for a moment I thought I was actually onto something :o

WTF is going on!? I thought we all agreed to test Nanook’s claim today! That’s the only reason I stopped pushing for his lynch yesterday; because we get a twofer today, and now you all are going back on this decision?! What’s the point then? Do we just keep letting him live until he’s assassinated half our group? He’s probably already responsible for the second death this morning; we’re only even at this point if we modkill him today. I am seriously suspicious of all these sudden “let nanook live” voices.

> [@Zeriel](#):
>
> Let Nanook live. If he was scum/pfk he could have just as easily got a trickle of votes every day simply by playing suspiciously and not handing us a bubbly cauldron of WIFOM.

This one especially. I could see how, if nanook was scum, he’d just let his votes trickle in. But PFK? The people who work _alone_ (or nearly alone)? How on earth would he orchestrate such a spectacular feat? And I see that you’re ready to leap on JSexton for his ball of WIFOM, but you’re letting off Nanook because of it? I think the two others are working together…you and Nanook, trying to seize control for yourselves. Well,

**Unvote JSexton**
**Ban Zeriel**

> [@Hal\_Briston](#):
>
> And yes, **let’s get a vote on Nanook toDay**. I’m not sure what his deal is, but it doesn’t read as scummy to me. PFK, perhaps, but I think we can deal with him another day.

Why? Why not deal with him today? If he’s a serial killer, today would be the very very best day to deal with him. If he’s a mad-bomber type, why not just off him today? What possible smidgen of advantage would come for waiting?

Sorry, I don’t have time to catch up right now, so if anything interesting happened during the last 3.5 hours I’ll comment on it tonight or tomorrow morning.

First things first. As promised,
**Unvote Blaster Master**

Now, my thoughts about the top 3 vote getters:

First of all, all of them voted for me. To me, it’s interesting that none of them actually went through the trouble of building a strong case against me. If they really thought that I’m scum, it would have been easy enough to compile a list of things that look scummy about me. After all, I write a lot, but don’t always get my thoughts across clearly. I’ve also taken some relatively controversial positions, and made several wrong assumptions during the game. So, even though all 3 of them thought I’m scum, they didn’t put much effort into convincing others. (I guess I should be grateful)

Out of the 3 of them, **Jsexton** is the most suspicious to me. At the beginning of the game, he went after **pedescribe** pretty aggressively. His gambit doesn’t seem well thought-through. If he knew that his plan might backfire, it would have been wise to prepare a defense. However, he didn’t seem to have one prepared, and it took a lot of questioning to find out his thought process. I’m not completely satisfied with his answers.

For example, I still don’t like his explanation for why I was chosen. **Jsexton** , the things you listed as leading to you becoming suspicious of me happened relatively early in Day 1. Yet toward the end of Day 1, you said you got a newbie town feel from me. What did you notice during your reread that you didn’t see before?

Second, why did you decide to go with a gambit as opposed to just making a case? What were you planning to do if my response didn’t satisfy you? For example, if I said I did something during the Night (but didn’t specify what), would you have claimed to have a power that enabled you to see my actions? Did you consider that I might be a pro-town role, and that your action might make it necessary for me to role claim?

**Zeriel** is mostly suspicious because of the circumstances surrounding his vote for and unvote of **Hero From Sector 7G**. ToDay, he voted for me because he considered my vote analysis scummy, and although I don’t agree with him, at least his view is somewhat logical. In his posts toDay he keeps fluctuating between thinking I’m extremely scummy, to only slightly scummy. I can see him being town, because I’d expect scum to be more decisive (since they’ve got extra info). Also, he explained **Nanook** ’s hint to me, which is pro-town because it cleared up confusion (at least mine, and maybe other players’ too).

I’m not really sure what to make of **Hal**. I can see the logic behind what he did during **Jsexton** ’s gambit, but I don’t really like his actions pre-gambit:
[ul]
[li]lurking, although that’s partially due to RL circumstances,[/li][li]voting for **NBC** for a weird reason, [/li][li]and voting for me based solely on Zeriel’s reason and over a misunderstanding, instead of building a case[/li][/ul]

So, that’s what I think of the top 3. Since **Jsexton** is already far ahead, I don’t want to vote for him. However, for vote analysis purposes consider this a vote for **Jsexton**

Is there a way to say “Know what? You’re right” without coming off as seriously waffling? 🙂

My immediate thought was “We’re getting…well, I don’t want to say ‘hammered’, but as a town, we’ve had better starts. I don’t know where **Nanook** ’s loyalties and/or abilities lie, but I’d hate to find out he was of use to town and we sacrificed him”.

However, we did clearly lay out our course of action for today. Maybe it was because of the bad night we suffered last night that people are a being a little hesitant to pull the trigger on him, but nothing has changed on his front. I said earlier that “we can deal with him another day”, but in retrospect, I can’t think of a good reason to do so. If **Nanook** wants to claim a reason, then it’s up to him to put it out there.

What I’ve given you isn’t enough? And you can’t claim that you didn’t understand things, Mr. I Hate Shoes That Look Like Demon Possession, since I’m 90% sure you at least read the Bladerunner game.

I don’t quite get your lust for my blood ped. What exactly have I done to make you think I’m scum/pfk? Other than claiming a difficult survival requirement. Have we not learned, from game after game, that assuming things based on how you think something would/should work is bad? IE, evil necromancers in Apocolypse and Marvel that are actually town, replicants that kill that are also town in Bladerunner, scum River Tam, etc etc. As near as I can tell, that’s the entirety of your desire to see me dead is that you are sure such a restriction is either a lie or stuck on a scum/pfk. Do I look like Roosh to you, that I would lie about such a thing? I’ve played scum twice total. In neither game did I make up some elaborate ruse in order to fool people. My witch claim in Conspiracy was a straightforward false claim under duress. Note, no duress before I claimed here.

For everyone else, I assure you that I am far more useful to Town alive than dead. Sure, letting me die would confirm me. On the other hand, dead confirmed Town don’t help nearly as much as live ones do.

More later on everything else that’s happened Today.

That’s a load of crap. You know perfectly well what I was saying. “In your opinion, you read every player that weighed in on that as town.”

I’m asking for the town as a whole to decide using the same process we use for lynches. I’d expect that, if the majority of the town decide they want Nanook to be a second lynch, no one would vote to stop it. I certainly wouldn’t do that.

I sure have missed a lot but I’m caught up just as I’m walking out the door. I think that both **Hal** and **Z** jumping at the chance to vote for **Jsexton’s** idea pinged me as looking to start a bandwagon. But once if fizzled they both bailed and tried to start one on **J**. I think the second one is a legitimate townie reaction but the first one bothers me. Before there was any information about who was trying to do what they were already out voting.

I am also suspicious of **J** but I think he has given a good enough explanation to not be lynched toDay but I think he has eared a permanent number 2 spot on my scum roster.

Noone vote for Nanook

I still think there is something funky with his power and without more information I think we are safer eliminating him.

Sorry to be all over the place but I’m happy with my vote on **Hal**. I should be around more tomorrow and will be posting more.

Interesting note, all the people that have faux voted for me dying already have voted for me in the past, and therefore are not accountable if I were to die. I would appreciate if someone new would throw one vote my way.

Now, about everyone else. Or at least the top vote getters, and my own little addition.

Hal is pinging me a little. But that means squat, Hal **always** pings me a little. Heck, I used that to my advantage in Cecilvania when I pressed him hard at the end leading to a scum win.

Zeriel is coming across as, well, Zeriel. He’s playing very similar to how he has in other games. Doesn’t mean he’s town per se, but I am willing to lean that way for now.

I’m not sure what to make of Jsexton. His gambit is something that I can’t really recall being done in any of the local games, but is not uncommon in games other places. My first instinct is that it was a scummy move designed to hit a suspected power role, but I’m not 100% on that yet. However, if the choice is between him and Zeriel, I’m giving him the vote instead.

The other person I wanted to bring up is pedesrcibe. He’s been hard after me from the moment I claimed. It seems to me that this is the sort of thing scum would do in order to get a potentially powerful role out of the game without having to kill. This is doubly so if he’s familiar with the Bladerunner game. Further, take a look at the vote count. Zeriel was 2 behind Jsexton. Then pedescribe unvoted Sexton and voted Zeriel. Just like that the person that was msot likely to be lynched is now just one vote away from surviving. I’m wondering if ped is trying to save a scum buddy.

All that said, my vote is going to Jsexton for now, and to unbreak the tie.

**Vote Jsexton**

Oh hey, I missed this the first time through. Too many posts coming in when I’m running around trying to catch up. Thankfully Boozy caught it.

At the time you posted this ok11, Jsexton was NOT far ahead. At the top of the page vote count Jsexton had a 2 vote lead on Zeriel, however pedescribe had changed that to a tie 20 mintues before you posted. If you think Jsexton is scummy, you should vote for him, period.
