Welp, looks like @Turek is going to be strongly in the running to win it for the second straight month with that awesome waterfall pic. Also, nice strategy-- Turek gets the last submission pic in under the wire for the second straight month. Kind of like how Hollywood releases their Oscar-bait movies in January to keep them top of mind for the judges 😉 ---

Who, me?? Strategizing?? 🙂 Actually, it was a little bit of both: strategy, and also forgetting to do it when I was at my photography computer until the last minute. Thanks for the compliments. I’ll post earlier next month, I promise, assuming I have anything that qualifies. I wish I could say I am fulfilling the premise of going out and shooting to the subject, but I’ve been so busy at work and getting ready for a photo trip to Patagonia, I just haven’t gone out to shoot much. Plus, where I live sucks for the types of photography I like to do. ---

@Turek - many years ago I caught a photography exhibit that I loved - the photographer had taken very long exposures of fountains. Your photo reminds me of those photos. ---

Thanks @WildaBeast The reason for this is to prevent runaway winners. It’s more fun for everyone if the votes are spread around a bit, and fun is the name of the game. In fact, I wanted to have people make ranked choices with 3, 2, 1 points for their choices, but the forum software doesn’t allow for that. It’s worth noting that having three votes each was always the rules - it’s just that it’s only now that we have a single poll we can enforce it. ---
