Landscape vs. portrait mode is a subjective decision that, being art and all, generally does not have one right and one wrong answer (although it usually kinda does). That said, there are rules of thumb that can be used as guidelines. You can crank up the Google Machine to explore photographic composition basics. mmm ---

We had a mild, wet winter - the Bougainvillea never froze this year, and bloomed all winter. We have the bougainvillea that will not die. We transplanted it this year and had to use the tractor to pull it out of the ground. Once it begins blooming again, I expect it’ll grow about a foot every week. ---
