It’s funny, I’m surrounded by gorgeous trees but haven’t taken a good photo lately. I eventually went to the archives just so I could participate, but there are so many great submissions (again) this month. ---

Huh - spent a week in Crete, gazing at those gorgeous mediterranean pines against the backdrop of a perfect blue sea and sky. A gimme, right? Just couldn’t capture it and ended up using a snap of partied-up palm trees. FWIW, this is the best I could do. As ever, google demands that you click for the full image. Agia Irini monastery. So, anyway, this is what I was _trying_ to do. j ---

I like the look of the trees in this picture. It was cold and there was a light layer of ice on everything. Unfortunately, my gf and Mack got in the way. [![](https://i.imgur.com/tAdV0It.jpeg) ](https://i.imgur.com/tAdV0It.jpeg) ---

Yep, and Mack is 35 in this picture. I think it is the last photograph of him. I rode him that winter. Imagine riding on the back of your 100 year old grandparent. He remained sure footed to the end. ---

I can’t see it. If I click in the seemingly blank post, a new tab opens but it never loads.
