1975 FLH - The Elvis bike!
I’m saving up for an Aprilia Mille, but that might be a few years.

Well…maybe I’ll buy two.:smack:
1992 BMW K75S – my fifth bike and I love it: detachable hard saddlebags, ABS, shaft drive and Corbin seat. I even love the occastional backfire when downshifting (seemingly chronic problem with the brick engines).
When it works How’s sunny C?
I’ll keep quiet about my two wheeled wonder
1986 BMW R80. A leftover from my bachelor days, I’ve had it for about 13 years now, it’s got close to 100k on it. Most dependable set of wheels I’ve ever had. I only ride it occasionally these days, since my wife is terrified that I’m going to kill myself on it. At least she knows better than to mention the “s” word.
Now if only I could keep the drunks off of it when I take it out.
I feel your pain, my friend. I had an '81 LTD1000 that I sold to buy an FJ1200 Yamaha. :smack:
For some reason, I thought I wanted to die uncomfortably…
1995 Yamaha Diversion XJ 600 (essentially the Euro version of the Seca II Johnny LA rides). My first bike, I’ve had it for a year and a half. Currently in winter storage and about to come out.
It’s a great all-purpose bike, very practical, easy to ride, forgiving - a true “starter bike”, as I’ve only had my license for 1.5 years. But the riding position is not ideal for me, at 6’2". I’m considering a good sports tourer in the future. I really like the BMW R1150 RT, which supposedly handles very well for its size. I also love the Ducati ST4, but fear the repair bills… perhaps if I turn Japanese again out of fear for high costs, a Yamaha FJR 1300 might be a very cool option as well.
88 Ninja 250 checking in. Great for zippy intown treks.
My butt formerly sat on the saddle of a 1997 Shadow 1100, and I was gunning for a lightly-used Valkyrie when I found out we were expecting. Postponed the SCUBA class, too. Maybe in a few years.
hey congrats there on the expecting news!
my old ride is now a gnarly track bike. Have a 907 Paso ('92) for sale, soon to be on ebay and it’s also in the DOCC newsletter (ifn any of ya’ll are interested). We are goin vintage all the way baby.
KTM 640 Adventure.
Had a Honda GB500, and I’m currently looking for an Ariel VB600 side-valve from the mid to late thirties.
I like the thumpers.
AHEM…
1964 Vespa GL 150.
Proudly walks away with his head heald high
I have a new Ducati Monster Dark. Love it.
1995 Kawasaki ZX6R. Race prepped and fast.
2003 Kawasaki EX250. Nothing like passing a bigger bike on the outside due to higher corner speeds.
Had a 2001 Bandit 600 but that met an unfortunate end embedded in the side of a late model Chevy. RIP.
I’ve been without for about 7 years. So I purchased a 2003 Heritage Softail Classic…just in time to have it sit in my garage as it dumps 3 feet of snow.
2002 Honda Interceptor (VFR for the Euros).
Very smooth piece of machinery - fun in the twisties, comfy on the freeways and kinda pretty too, IMHO. As my last bike was a 1998 Ducati 748, it’s a pleasant change not having to calculate chiropractor bills into your motorcycle budget. Oh, and the build quality is pretty damn good. That’s certainly a change from the Duc as well…
casdave, I had a brief and stormy affair with the RS 250. Holy smokes, was that thing fun. Expensive to run (althouugh service was dirt cheap - no valves ;)), impractical when doing anything as mundane as, for instance, carrying anything bigger than a can of soda. But DARN, that chainsaw noise and those blue clouds in your wake - unsubtle, unrefined and it made you ride like an inconsiderate wanker because it was just so FUN. Good times.
WhiteyFoo, my second bike was a 1996 Suzuki Bandit 600. Great bike, I had lots of fun on that - fitted it with hard bags and did some touring, too. Sad to hear that yours ate a Chevy.
Down to these: 2-4 RZ350’s in various states of being. 2 currently running, 1 stock, 1 fast and scarry.
89 GB500. Slow, but pretty and fun.
00 Kaw W650. A little faster and pretty.
2 DR 350’s. One has been to hell and back and folks have suggested that Suzuki put it in a museum. The other is the wife’s.
82 IT465. Poor old race beast has been put out to pasture, but I can’t bear to part with it.
Got a Aero scooter and a JR50, recently. They don’t get much use.
Got rid of the RE5, GT 380 and an RZ a while ago.
Don’t ride as much as I used to, and have a hell of a time keeping all the batterys fresh.
Fagjunk Theology: Not just for sodomite propagandists anymore.
1985 Yamaha FJ100 hot rod. Full Vance & Hines exhaust, Stage III carb jets, and 1188cc big-bore. I think the coils need to be replaced. It won’t start and I got so frustrated with it that I haven’t messed with it for about 6 weeks.
1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 dragbike. Trac Dynamics 6" over swingarm with monoshock conversion. ZX-11 rear wheel with 200mm Metzeler. Sprocket offset 5/8’ for the fat tire with D&G bearing support. I got a heck of a deal on it, but it needs a new clutch lever, carbs, and new key.
1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 parts bike that will one day be a chopper. Getting a frame built with 53 degrees of rake:eek: Found a good deal on a big fat wheel for a 250mm tire. I recently read that Metzeler will soon have an even wider tire; a 270 or 280 to be followed by a 300! I’ve only seen the 250 tire bikes in photos. When I opened the crate that the wheel came in, I was blown away. Geez this is a monster wheel. If that new 270/280 fits, I’ll go with it.
Had an R1 that got stolen 2 months ago…I’m looking for a new R1 now.
Have a CBR600F3 race bike that I use on track only.
